A Neutron star is a collapsed core of a large star.Usually, a star around 10-29 solar masses will collapse to make a neutron star creating the smallest and densest stars known to exist.A teaspoonful of its matter would weigh millions of tons. The neutron stars are composed almost entirely of neutrons.

The first direct observation of a neutron star in visible light. The neutron star is RX J1856.5-3754.
